Yay for Juniors!

Now I see how down I was in 2009.

Homeward Bound, making Ds while classmates make As, sucking at surgery and catheter placement, the "B" litter all getting parvo and spraying bloody diarrhea all over my kitchen, coming home after class to bury puppies, that puppy that went into a hypoglycemic seizure and I thought it was dead, the "R" litter, Duke the best dog ever, barely sleeping, the whole ruckus over the December 12th wedding date. My first euthanasias- Tyson and Thor. The first and only bridal shower. Being told I was incompetent in Primary Care. Making my first C, potentially ruining my GPA for internships. The euthanasias of equine. Chase the horse dropping dead. The shattered shoulder horse. Getting hit by a car. Eloping and the ensuing drama(s).

There are times when I have sudden lucency of my internal vision, and I realize that up ahead in my life is a deep valley. I realize that it's deep and dark, but I'm still in the sun and I don't comprehend how bad it could be. It was Homeward Bound and the "B" and "R" litters that really broke me, but everything else didn't help much. If Jeremy hadn't been there I don't know what I would have done. But I'm starting to be happy again! The house is clean, I'm running again, and doing Vetprep over the break is making me sound super smart in clinics!
My senior year is almost entirely planned out and I have all the externships I wanted to get (11 weeks worth right now!). I got the 8 weeks of ICU like I wanted for emergency experience, and maybe getting an internship at MSU isn't as hard as I thought. The people on rotation with me think I'm funny and cool, which is new for me. I also stopping bleaching my hair and gave myself bangs and I think both of those things up my cool factor.
In summary, end of junior year = good, senior year = AWESOME, now give me my DVM!!
