May 19-May 27 (Memorial Day)

Monday
No surgeries? What? We can LEAVE AT NOON?!
Oh, that was a joke. Good joke.

Tuesday
Went running at 6am. Fell and busted my knee. Walked two miles home. Took pictures of knee while waiting for health center to open. Went to health center with blood all over my leg to get medical attention faster.
First colic!
Very long day at work
Not being able to bend my knee leads to many interesting ballet-like moves throughout the day, as well as walking like a pirate.

Grocery shopping

Wednesday
Can move and walk around almost normally
Picked up Dandy Doodlez vase; it's quite lovely
Got to hug on a horse for two hours while the doctors were removing a sarcoid from it
Very laid-back, joking day at work
Cleaned house
Dinner double-date with Chris and Anna
paraffin wax
Hit my knee on the banister

Thursday
Hemilaminectomy, Foreign body removal in a horse, external fixation of tibia
Foreign body removal took until 7:30 pm, but I left at 5:30, thankfully
Grocery shopping

Friday
almost nothing happened in surgery
hung out in ICU with the (awake) dogs!
Hung out in the surgery ward

Saturday
Breakfast conversation at City Bagel about parents, personality types, and magazines
Awkward moments
Lady in the Water
Hanging out

Sunday
Church
sudden change of plans sends Jeremy and I to Tuscaloosa for the afternoon
Meeting Aunt Fran, Uncle Dwight, and Cousin Abby
Target! Mall!
Making dinner with Mom and butterscotch bread pudding
No Country for Old Men, imagining the scary guy in my house
Dad's tournament comeback!
